Highlands Hammock Soda Pop Festival

Highlands Hammock Soda Festival is a graduate study inspired by the 3rd Annual Sebring Soda Festival in Sebring, Florida, and beautiful scenery and wild inhabitants of Highlands Hammock State Park. This illustration is the Bee’s modifications to the mixed-medium techniques of illustrator C. F. Payne in layering multiple mediums to achieve an overall colored pencil feel. Its mediums include graphite and graphite powder, acrylic, watercolors, and colored pencils on an illustration board.

Alan and Elysia is a mixed-media, wildlife illustration originally commissioned as a wedding invitation before becoming a stand-alone piece. It features two burrowing owls nuzzling one another amongst a field of tall grass and fireflies during summer dusk. This illustration is the result of a compilation of various watercolor layers painted, scanned, then collaged together digitally.
