Blurry Man is another mixed medium illustration celebrating the television science fiction classic: The Twilight Zone. Again, Shannon used her own modified version of C.F. Payne’s mixed media technique to achieve an overall look and texture of colored pencils. Here, unequal layers of graphite, acrylics, watercolors, and colored pencils were applied onto a thick illustration board to simulate the transition of Rod Serling’s black and white shorts to Jordan Peel’s colorized and equally suspenseful reboot.
